Responsibilities include providing coverage for various shifts and providing direct client care to include:

Assisting with Activities of Daily Living: Assists residents with transportation, laundry, room cleaning, meal preparation, and personal hygiene.

Behavioral Cueing: Reminds residents to complete activities of daily living as listed above.
Medication Observation/Symptom & Medication Response Monitoring: Observes medication self administration; documents ongoing assessment of client symptoms and their response to prescribed medications; support and education to encourage clients to take medications as prescribed; promotes illness self-management skills; and monitors medication side effects and communicates with medical staff as needed.

Documentation: Progress notes are completed according to agency's guidelines, policies and procedures regarding format, content and timeliness. Documents daily contact with residents in log provided for staff communication and updates oncoming staff on resident's progress at shift change.

Cooking: Prepares and serves meals according to the menu and to Department of Health Standards when needed.

Cleaning: Maintains the cleanliness of the residential facilities. Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping walls, washing windows, wiping countertops, cleaning dining and kitchen areas, and cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms.

Crisis Stabilization: Stabilizes crisis situations by engaging appropriate services to maintain the least restrictive environment possible for residents, while assuring the safety and well being of others residing in the facility. Develops and documents appropriate safety plan.

Resident Activities: Organizes and engages residents in activities, both individual and group, to encourage participation in productive and therapeutic activities.

Stepping Stone Group Home - Yakima
Stepping Stone is a twelve bed facility that serves adult residents with chronic and/or acute mental illness who need the structure and support of a 24-hour transitional group living situation. Residents are actively involved in the responsibilities of home management including cooking, cleaning, and decision making about house programs and problems. Stepping Stone residents are also taught skills which enable them to seek volunteer or paid positions in the community.

Other responsibilities include leading or co-facilitating health and/or behavioral education groups in addition to providing education to staff.

Position is for our Two Rivers Landing facility which is a new, state of the art, short term, residential place of healing for youth aged 11-17 who are in crisis. The program provides crisis stabilization, evaluation and treatment for up to 16 youth (male or female) utilizing an established, Trauma-Informed, Evidence-Based Model of Care. An integrated team of professionals provides individualized care and a comprehensive discharge plan that emphasizes community resources and family support.

Gleed is a twenty nine bed facility that serves adult residents with medical and/or psychiatric conditions that have caused impairments in activities of daily living, communication, cognitive abilities, and/or social functioning. Goals of the program include maintaining control over psychiatric symptoms and maladaptive behaviors, increasing personal care, social skills, and practical living skills, and creating a safe environment for the recovery process.
