   <title><![CDATA[Show Director - Interior Design Show (MMPCI - Toronto)]]></title>
   <description>&lt;p&gt;	&lt;strong&gt;Position Summary&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	The Interior Design Show (IDS), Canada&amp;rsquo;s largest contemporary design fair, is interviewing for a new Show Director.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	&lt;strong&gt;Duties Include:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	Execute sales plans.&amp;nbsp; Oversee daily exhibitor issues, and relations as they relate to the event.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Establish and maintain positive relations with exhibitors, industry associate groups, vendors, contactors, and community business contacts as the local representative of the company.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Represent the show as the management presence at all critical functions, shows, on-site events, and building or community emergencies.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Show space to prospective exhibitors and act as on-site liaison.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Establish and maintain positive working relations with MMPI staff and tradeshow operations.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;	&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	Develop and execute marketing programs and partnerships, strategize future plans as they relate to the IDS and consumer/public outreach.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Develop a marketing plan&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Participate in strategy and planning working through both corporate marketing communication and outside contractors and vendors as necessary.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Assist in development of annual market programs for the show, driving viable trade and consumer traffic.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Establish and maintain positive working relationships with exhibitors.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Establish and maintain positive working relationships with local and industry media.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Establish relationships with appropriate city and national groups that will enhance positioning of current and future fairs.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</description>

   <title><![CDATA[Director of Operations (Cleveland Medical Mart)]]></title>
   <description>&lt;p&gt;	&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	Designed to bring buyers and sellers together, the Cleveland Medical Mart &amp;amp; Convention Center (CMMCC) is the world&amp;rsquo;s only facility targeted specifically to the medical and healthcare industries.&amp;nbsp; The Director of Operations will be the first operations-focused employee for the building, scheduled for completion in September 2013.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	&lt;strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;Position Summary&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	This individual is responsible for the efficient operation and preservation of the physical assets of the CMMCC.&amp;nbsp; This person will play a key role in the strategy and roll out of CMMCC&amp;rsquo;s operations department.&amp;nbsp; Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	&amp;nbsp;Duties include:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Planning and executing the complete staffing and operational aspect of the CMMCC&amp;rsquo;s operations department.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Manage outsourced contractors for the building including, but not limited to, housekeeping, security, dock workers and engineers&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Ensure Proper and efficient operations of facility equipment/systems&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Supervision of all building operations, as well as on-site construction, including tenant improvements and building projects (after facilities&amp;rsquo; opening)&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Managing daily activity for all operations personnel including engineering, housekeeping, dock and security&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Play a significant role in short and long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Hire, train and manage key employees and contractors&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Management of third party contractor budget in coordination with Accounting/Finance&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Implement and maintain programs for inspection of facilities and documentation of work orders including comprehensive preventative maintenance system for all CMMCC fixed and movable equipment and building systems&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Development of individual operations program budgets&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Develop policies and procedures to monitor and conserve energy consumption and compliance with utility contracts&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Organization of financial documents for the operations department.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Maintain positive working relationship with General Service Contractors and other related service providers doing business with CMMCC to promote coordinated services to clients&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Managing and negotiate maintenance service contracts.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Oversee tenant service requests in the Medical Mart.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Organize building operations staff for facility-wide events in support of event services team.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Work with Events Manager in coordinating operational aspects of special events.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Manage contractor/vendor relationships.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Various other duties as assigned&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</description>

   <title><![CDATA[Accounting Manager - Temporary (MMPCI - Toronto)]]></title>
   <description>&lt;p&gt;	&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;Position Description&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	This individual is responsible for managing the accounting for MMPI&amp;rsquo;s Canadian Offices.&amp;nbsp; This is a temporary role that will last for 8 months.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;	&lt;strong&gt;&lt;u&gt;Responsibilities include:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Manage all accounting activities for over 50 events across Canada&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Prepare budgets with Vice Presidents&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Supervise, train and oversee three accounting assistants&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Responsible for the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements and convert to US dollars&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Reforecast budgets on a monthly basis to reflect the most up to date information as the economy and trends change (both trade shows and administrative)&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Collate and analyze the balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Provide all necessary information for the quarterly and year-end audits&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Assist and provide necessary information to tax consultants for year-end filing and other tax matters.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Continuously report and monitor variances and fluctuations with respect to revenue, expenses, as well as movements in balance sheet accounts&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Liaise with Chicago head-office with regard to audit queries, status of accounting, payroll, IT and HR&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Discuss strategies for individual events wit Senior VP and Vice Presidents&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Monitor AR balances and ensure collection of revenue in a timely manner, ensuring that relationships with exhibitors and sponsors are preserved&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Ensure AP is being done in a timely manner and correct procedures are followed&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Set-up work schedule for monthly closings for department and meet with department to discuss issues.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Assist with acquisitions to ensure the accounting is incorporated into the MMPI system.&amp;nbsp; Adapt systems where necessary&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Responsible tax filling and payments for provincial and federal taxes.&lt;/li&gt;	&lt;li&gt;		Determine what the Vice Presidents require in terms of information to effectively run their events and provide that information to them in a meaningful manner&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;	&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
