   <title><![CDATA[Bookkeeper (Gahanna Corporate Office)]]></title>
   <description>&lt;u&gt;Objective:&lt;/u&gt; The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the credit union by performing a variety of bookkeeping and related duties including, but not limited to, posting and updating general ledger accounts and subsidiary accounts as well as performing basic and complex account reconciliations. The Bookkeeper will also perform a variety of duties related to the accounting and support functions within the credit union. &lt;u&gt;Duties and Responsibilities:&lt;/u&gt; &amp;bull; Proof and post entries to general ledger and subsidiary accounts. &amp;bull; Perform basic and complex reconciliation of general ledger and subsidiary accounts. &amp;bull; Serve as a liaison with select employee groups regarding payroll deductions and distribution records. &amp;bull; Provide operational servicing of KEMBA products including bill payments, share-to-share transfers, and US Savings Bonds. &amp;bull; Provide administrative support to the Controller. &amp;bull; Perform rejected item processing including share drafts, ACH, payroll postings, and general ledger transactions. &amp;bull; Process return deposit items from Federal Reserve cash letters and ATM networks. &amp;bull; Reconcile corporate checks and resolve discrepancies. &amp;bull; Compile and remit premiums for member loan related insurance plans. &amp;bull; Perform other duties as required by Credit Union Management. &amp;bull; Assist accounting department Associates as needed. &amp;bull; Develop an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies, and operational procedures. &amp;bull; On a self-directed basis, continue to improve individual level of competency through training and certification on established educational programs. &amp;bull; Must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (a) can get along with coworkers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes (b) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, persuading or speaking with others and (c) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor. </description>
