The Commercial Lender-Business Development Officer is responsible for providing effective and quality service to prospective and current business banking clients, generating new commercial loan relationships through prospecting and business development activities, actively promoting the sale of all First Business products through cross-selling, and taking an active role in the community through service and professional associations.

Specifically, as a Commercial Lender-Business Development Officer you’ll:

Develop and maintain a commercial loan portfolio that actively promotes and maximizes the goals of the bank
Create and initiate a program to actively call on prospective businesses to develop new in-market commercial loan relationships, striving to meet and exceed established goals
Maintain existing client relationships by providing a high level of customer service, and making suggestions for improvements to current products and services
Underwrite new business, and prepare and present credit presentations to Loan Committee
Work closely with the commercial lending and treasury management team, as well as other First Business entities, to cross-sell products and services to existing, and prospective clients
Contribute to the improvement of the department and organization by staying current on existing industry trends and participating in efficiency initiatives
Become an active member of the community by attending networking events and developing relationships with centers of influence
Participate in the community through volunteerism, leadership, and involvement with civic and non-profit organizations.

The Credit Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data on new and existing clients, monitoring loan covenants and preparing loan committee presentations while striving to help maintain the overall soundness of the loan portfolio.

Specifically, as a Credit Analyst you'll:

Be responsible for analyzing financial data on new and existing clients, while striving to help maintain the overall soundness of the loan portfolio.
Spread and analyze financial information to determine the credit worthiness of the bank's existing and prospective clients.
Be responsible for monitoring loan covenants, which includes running scorecards and reviewing loan agreements.
Prepare loan committee presentations to include: bank exposure, cash flow analysis, collateral analysis, background summary, and overall financial summary.
Be responsible for packet distribution for Loan Approval Committee and Directors' Loan Committee, to include all applicable loan presentations and reporting requirements.
Develop a working knowledge on all aspects of loan policy and the ability to communicate its interpretation and rationale to other bank personnel.
Act as Secretary for the Loan Approval Committee and Directors' Loan Committee, including recording votes, preparing minutes, and gathering other applicable information and reporting it on a monthly basis.
Perform special projects relating to the bank's loan area and other duties as assigned.
Work closely with the commercial lending team, including our credit analysts, commercial and senior credit managers.

The purpose of the Loan Processing Representative position is to: prepare loan documents for all loans as approved and requested by lending staff in accordance with all applicable state, federal, legal and Bank requirements; perform the set up and booking of loans to the loan system; identify documentation and policy exceptions for tracking and forward documents for recording with the appropriate filing office; post loan payments and advances on loans.

Essential responsibilities of the Loan Processing Representative:

Loan Documentation -- Determine loan requests have appropriate approvals as required by loan policy. Prepare loan documents as requested for loan officers. Review loan documents for accuracy and completeness prior to and post closing.

Book Loans -- Set up and book loans to the loan system according to bank guidelines accurately and timely. Prepare general ledger tickets, wire funds, and request preparation of cashier’s checks in order to distribute funds.

Loan Filing -- Create or add to existing loan files and forward documents for editing and final review. Send out necessary documents for recording with the appropriate filing office. Follow up and resolve any incomplete or incorrect items.

Documentation & Policy Exceptions Tracking – Identify and track missing and unrecorded documents, and loan policy and documentation exceptions.

Loan Payments & Advances -- Post loan payments and advances on loans.

Customer Service -- Respond to inquiries to the loan department and provide the highest level of cust
